The introductions on this forum seems to be one of the things that have been lost so it would be really helpful if those who are using pseudonyms could let everyone know who they are and those who are not also let us all know who they are as there are still some names I am not sure of.

I will start, I am Deborah Aspland. I play for the Old Rockers. Last year I used to play for the Golden Lion Gems but we have moved venue. I have played for the quiz league for about 17 years. For those who do not know, up to last season I used to be Debby Carr but married Neil Aspland (from the Railwaymen) May 2008.

Thank you for this Debby, as people may or may not know, when categories in the forum go unposted to for six months they appear to get automatically cleared out by the system, so for an important thing like the introductions thread this is a good (re)start.

Is it just me, or has anybody else had the thought that there seems to be enough non-playing quizzers (Jason and Michelle in this thread, to name just two) to form a new team.

Yes yes, I'm sure the purists out there are screaming that we're already mid-season, but I can't see a problem in letting a new team in now. The timing is right - everybody has played each other once, and surely the revenue that a new team brings would be welcomed.

We're not playing for the World Cup, to coin a phrase, so how about it ? Come on, Jason and Michelle. Sort yourselves out, you've got a match next Monday !
