Variety of QuestionsAn interesting comment from one of our opponents after last night's quiz - "There are too many American questions every week".
This had never struck me before, but from memory, last night featured a whole round on "New York"; a sport round with questions on US football teams and a US Ryder Cup golfer; Literature with maybe 4 US writers as answers; "Who is the US Vice-President ?"; "Name the 3 countries George W called The Axis of Evil"; and maybe more that I can't recall.
Too many, or just a indicator that we are "the 51st state" ?!?
The same opponent then asked if the question-setter came from America.
"No", replied Mr. Chairman, "Chorley". Classic !!!
Oh, and another member of the team mentioned "not enough Science", which does seem a common theme.
